GDIT is seeking a Senior Requirements Analyst to support a complex federal contract that enables the delivery and maintenance of cloud capabilities and improves software development processes.

As a Senior Requirements Analyst you will be supporting an important federal agency as they migrate mission critical systems used throughout the government to the cloud. The program involves facilitating modernizing legacy applications by providing, operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms. You will be a business leader assessing, gathering, and defining business requirements to modernization legacy applications, defining strategy, developing processes for cloud service provisioning, requirements development, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.

 In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Interfaces with product owners and users of applications to understand business needs and desired changes for new or existing production systems
  • Defines, collects, analyzes, and organizes business requirements and communicates the same information to government leadership, solution architects, and cloud engineers. 
  • Draft system reference documents and technical guides
  • Ensure that assigned deliverable are completed on time
  • Generates recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel
  • Collaborates with the team to ensure the cloud platform and service catalog meet business needs   Provide recommendations for enhancements where needed.
  • Maintains communicates throughout the modernization initiatives to ensure that the services provided are delivering business value.  Where needed, provide escalation and resolution support as the services are delivered so that additional changes or modifications are recognized early in the development process
  • Conducts peer reviews to solicit feedback on materials created.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.
  • Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.


  • Education:  BA/BS preferred
  • Years of relevant experience: 5 years of experience writing requirements documents (e.g., Requirements Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Functional Specifications, and Test Requirements documents)
  • Have or be eligible to obtain a public trust

Technical Skills Requirements

  • Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to analyze and effectively communicate technical details about complex business processes through documentation.
  • 3+ years defining requirements for application modernization to the cloud
  • 2+ years of SAFe

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • 3+ years of experience improving customer experience by automating software development lifecycle (SDLC) as CICD pipelines and workflows using DevOps technologies
  • Experience with JIRA
  • SAFe certification
