Data Scientist Senior

Our work depends on a Data Scientist joining our team to conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and use scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions. Will also proactively retrieve information from various sources, analyze it for better understanding about the data set, and builds AI tools that automate certain processes.

HOW A DATA SCIENTIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Creating various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems
• Perform statistical analysis, applies data mining techniques, and builds high quality prediction systems.
• Skilled in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau; major data science languages, such as R and Python; managing and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, SQL, or VBA depending on the use case; statistical analysis; and data mining algorithms
• Work with and design, develop, and actively participate in open-source libraries and technologies such as the Netflix/Twitter stack or equivalent Microservices tooling such as Service Discovery, Circuit Breakers, and Software Load Balancing.
• Experience with large data multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.
• Design, prototype, and integrate distributed caching frameworks such as Evcache and Redis Work with Platforms as a Service such as AWS, Cloud Foundry, and OpenShift.
• Support software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems).
• Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web prototyping lifecycle.
• Develop strategies, roadmaps, standards, and reference architecture/implementation of prototypes into Enterprise tools; participate in the development of governance processes
• Develop full-stack and reference architecture designs for infrastructure across hybrid environments inclusive of cloud platforms

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• TS/SCI, polygraph eligibility
• Master’s degree and 12+ years’ relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of relevant experience
• 2+ years’ experience in an official member agency of the Intelligence Community
• Familiarity with and experience applying Intelligence Community Directives pertaining to disseminating all source intelligence analysis
• Four or more years of programming experience in Python, R, or Matlab
• Demonstrated work, research or educational experience in a field relevant to data science, data analysis, and/or evaluating analysis methods, for example, mathematics, statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering
• Successful applications of quantitative methods to achieve improved products in a military and intelligence environment
• Understanding of how to integrate quantitative methods into new or existing tools and technologies
