Manage and lead the various releases that are going to be deployed into Production. Support of the customer applications, systems, or infrastructure releases. Plan and control releases into pre-production (test) and production environments. Coordinate with all appropriate stakeholders the content and schedule of the rollout plan, testing plan, and all other documentation pertinent to the release. Ensure accurate information is coordinated with release packages and the Configuration Management (CM) system is updated. Oversee all releases and deliver Release Management reports.
Provide management and oversight of service delivery release management.
Provide plans and processes for implementation, testing, independent verification, assessments and version control authorization management, deployment, and acceptance of services into the operational environment.
Provide details for employing continuous delivery/deployment practices and/or mechanisms.
Change or develop any deployment scripts.
Coordinate and develop deployment plan to include testing of scripts pre-production.
Validate the production-ready test outcome by unit testing and/or Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and approved for production via the approved governance process.
Work with the customer to release, distribute, and install new and upgraded software.
Work with the customer to install new or modified hardware for legacy systems (as needed).
Provide plans and processes for establishing and maintaining configuration and quality control of all the supported office’s services, software, middleware, and hardware assets.
Provide information and training prior to delivery.
Store the released software (e.g., source code, scripts, documentation, and datasets) in a definitive Software Library in accordance to DevOps methodology.
Required Experience / Certification:
5 years of relevant experience
Desirable Experience / Certification:
Experience in AWS, Azure or other Cloud Service provider
Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps methods in support of continuous development, continuous integration environments.
Knowledge and understanding of ITIL Service Design process and procedures.
Experience working in the Agile Software Development and Testing framework
Experience with CI/CD Management Tools
