Cloud Developer Associate (Intern)

GDIT is seeking a College Intern who will be assisting with cloud billing and reporting. The College Intern will support the Cloud team in delivering highly communicative and financial reports that provide customers with their usage, monthly billing and funding utilization. Candidates must be able to communicate well with their customers as they embark on their cloud journey.

In this role you may also measure, monitor, and analyze the usage of our Cloud customers and make recommendations for cost optimization.  Successful candidates are eager to learn about Cloud computing and will have strong customer engagement and communications skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with collecting and reviewing financial data from various Cloud sources.
• Perform technical analysis to help Business Owners determine the impact of cloud adoption.
• Define the total cost of ownership and business value for moving to the Cloud.
• Creates, maintains, updates financial databases using SQL queries
• Analyzes customer cloud requirements and may provide technical knowledge on cloud computing techniques and technologies of moderate complexity.
• Assist with the research, evaluation, and deployment of cloud computing systems and large data analytics.
• May assist customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
• Assists with the management of the AWS master payer account with 400+ linked accounts.
• Willing to learn AWS & MAG Cost analysis using deep understanding of Cost usage reports - writing SQL queries in AWS (Athena) to customize reports
• Participates in special projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• In process of obtaining Bachelor’s Degree
• Equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience will be considered.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Cloud optimization expertise in AWS and/or Azure is a plus
• Effective communication skills both orally and written.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Understanding of Cloud Technologies
• Automation/Development learning in Cloud
• Analytic/ queries understanding for cloud billing

The likely salary range for this position is $83,200 - $124,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
