Our work depends on a .NET Software Developer joining our team to support customer activities at the Newington, VA location.

At GDIT ARMA, our employees are driven, resourceful, and unwavering. As a .NET Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work on enterprise-wide systems and software applications. In this role, a typical day will include:


  • Provide full lifecycle software development to include the designing, development, testing, documenting and maintaining of software applications.

  • Build new software, maintains existing custom-developed software and support COTS/GOTS software products as needed ​

  • Research, design , develop, test, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or software applications.  

  • Analyze user/business software system requirements and determine needs.

  • Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time.

  • Maintain documentation to support software development policies, standards and procedures.

  • Perform and may provide guidance on all phases of the software development lifecycle.

  • Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs.

  • May provide guidance for less-experienced software developers in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.

  • Perform and provide guidance on software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs.

  • Provide relevant analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status.

  • Thoroughly documents the software or system process for future maintenance and updates.

  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant software development experience (work experience can be substituted for the degree or work experience.)

  • DoD 8570 certification required; Security +

  • Required experience with these programming languages: Microsoft.NET and JavaScript

  • Must be familiar with software development and diagnostic tools

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL v3 certification

  • ​​Desired Programming Languages: PowerShell and C++
