GDIT is currently seeking a Systems Architect to serve in a key Program Management Office position as the Chief Engineer for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The Chief Engineer serves as the technical expert across all contract task orders to work with the Sponsor to develop technical roadmaps, introduce new technologies, drive standardization/industry best practices, and oversee compliance with the Sponsor’s approved architectural standards.
• Performs duties as the senior technical expert on the program, to include providing feedback and mentoring of a highly technical workforce, providing technical oversight of operations and maintenance support, and continually evaluating the technical workforce to ensure they are technically capable of addressing mission needs • Lead the effort to drive convergence of the SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across all task orders • Leverages technical resources from Alliance Partners and GDIT COEs/COIs • Designing and overseeing implementation of end-to-end integrated systems • Delivering architectural initiatives that drive and improve efficiency in line with the business strategy • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the organization’s technologies and architectures • Communicating architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies • Gaining organizational commitment for enterprise level architecture and infrastructure initiatives
Required Skills: o Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience o Possess a wide breath of technical expertise across all areas of Enterprise IT networking and hosting architectures o Possess a deep understanding and experience working with multiple cloud hosting technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google and IBM o Effective management and leadership skills o Strong program and project management skills o Excellent presentation and communication skills o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
