Our work depends on an Information Systems Security Sr. Manager joining our team to support a large infrastructure government effort at Annapolis Junction, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As an Information Systems Security Sr. Manager supporting our government client, you will be trusted to manages and supervises a small team of senior level Professional focused on multiple disciplines within the Information Security team. In this role, typical responsibilities and duties may include:

  • Builds and manages dynamic response teams for security monitoring, mitigation, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, NIST Security Control assessment, loss prevention, and Discovery actions.

  • Conducts risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system and application level.

  • Promotes security automation (i.e. Splunk, ServiceNow, Tanium)

  • Develops and implements security controls and formulates operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs.

  • Involved in a wide range of security issues including Security Operations Center support of Alerts, Configuration Non-compliance and collaboration.

  • Researches, evaluates and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.

  • Prepares weekly and Monthly reports to Executive leadership.

  • Audits and manages access management.


  • TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph

  • BA/BS Degree plus 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • DoD 8570 Level II Certification (Security+ or similar)

  • experience with vulnerability management, and incident Response

  • Ability to form excellent client relationships

  • comfortable briefing, comfortable managing program-wide security processes
