Our work depends on a Enterprise Architect joining our team to support Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) activities in the Baltimore/Washington Area.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Enterprise Architect supporting HRSA’s Office of Information Technology, you will be trusted to work on the redesign of the data warehouse repository. In this role, a typical day will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert, independent services and leadership in specialized technical areas.

  • Provides expertise on an as-needed basis to all task assignments.

  • Provides expert advice and assistance in state-of-the-art software/hardware.

  • Coordinates with contractor management and Government personnel to ensure that the problem has been properly defined and that the solution will satisfy the Government’s requirement.

  • Develop baseline and target architectures, transition strategies, Enterprise Architecture and Technology roadmaps (once a year)

  • Conduct enterprise architecture reviews to identify and recommend actions to eliminate gaps, duplication or incompatibilities among business functions, programs, and/or tools and technologies

  • Develop business cases and feasibility studies to evaluate technology/tools, and implement perform proof of concepts (POCs), pilots to research new and emerging technologies and modernize systems

  • Documents the processes for architectural governance, design patterns, and IT practices\

  • Ensures compliance with OMB, General Services Administration (GSA) and GAO and Enterprise Software Category Team (ESCT) reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field,  and 15 years of general experience in information systems.

  • 8 years of specialized experience providing state-of-the-art solutions in information systems technology with a proven track record in the area of Enterprise Architecture.

  • Must have experience with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), understand technology business management (TBM) and how it works.

  • Must be familiar with Enterprise Architecture tools, EA Reference Models.

Attributes for Success:

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – a must

  • Experience in collaborating with senior level GDIT and client management
