Establish look, feel and design standards for the team’s outputs and data tools.   Create and maintain a best in class user interface to allow for the intuitive navigation of data products.  Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability). Build the capacity of team members on UX and design theory and practice to ensure all products reflect best practice. Engage end users to document feedback on data product user experience. Create personas through user research and data collection.   

Skills required: 

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role with a focus on data products
  • Strong portfolio of design projects
  • Background in project management and research
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience or the equivalent combination of education/training and/or work/military experience.

Active Public Trust or Secret clearance.
