GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo-Pacific (JMSC-IP) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency.
Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length.
Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and in a team setting.
Participates in special projects as required.
Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications.
Must meet IAT baseline certifications
Education:
BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.
6-8 years of experience; Military training and training support at Brigade and above highly preferred.
Clearance:
Position requires a TOP SECRET clearance
