JMSC-IP Principal Engineer, Systems / Systems Engineer Senior TS Security Clearance Required

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo-Pacific (JMSC-IP) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.

• Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.

• Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency.

• Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.

• Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

• Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.

• Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.

• Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

• Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.  

• Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. 

• Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length.

• Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and in a team setting.  

• Participates in special projects as required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.

• Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.

• Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications.

• Must meet IAT baseline certifications

Education:

• BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.

• 6-8 years of experience; Military training and training support at Brigade and above highly preferred.

Clearance:

• Position requires a TOP SECRET clearance
