GDIT is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Expert. This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Solutions Expert to join an IT Operations Project for the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS).
The candidate will provide engineering and architectural oversight and support to IT Operations in an Agile environment. Candidate will be responsible for the continued design and operations of an IT infrastructure comprising of large highly available virtualization environment (hardware and software). Responsible for designing, creating, maintaining, and supporting existing and future IT infrastructure in the areas of systems, network, storage, security, virtual technology and Cloud for HIGLAS Hosting and Application systems. Also functions as a primary technical liaison between Infrastructure and other IT teams, vendors and partners, as well as CMS to design infrastructure solutions.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with customer stakeholders to enhance and modernize IT infrastructure to align with client business portfolios and service-level requirements.
Demonstrated experience managing complex IT infrastructure and developing scalable enterprise technology strategies across multiple platforms.
Demonstrated experience with IT infrastructure technologies including but not limited to Windows and Linux operating systems and associated technologies, storage systems, local and wide area network infrastructure, server hardware, video and voice systems, remote access solutions, messaging, mobility, monitoring tools, TCP/IP and DNS and other foundational protocols, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.
Knowledge and experience with client server, cloud computing (private, public, and hybrid) and enterprise collaboration technologies.
Design, build and integrate various components such as storage, switches and compute in a large-scale enterprise datacenter in support of information technology (IT) operations projects.
Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between PM and technical staff in all aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
Fully engage in the implementation of a DevOps system framework. Support in a lead role on engineering and operations projects involving SAN Storages, Virtualization and Cloud Operations.
Responsible for operational availability of all the systems hosted on the infrastructure.
Support in a lead role for planning and building infrastructure supporting COOP & DR plans.
Implement advance IT infrastructure technology for a highly available infrastructure with disaster recovery site.
Work closely with Application Sr. Solution Manager to understand business requirements and translate them to technical specifications; develop project plans, procure resources, monitor progress, and provide regular status reports to IT management.
Provide Tier 3/4 technical support for infrastructure-related issues and requests.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related degree.
Required Qualifications and Skills
15+ years of analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments.
Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational related assignments associated with SAN and Storage operations, and virtualization software (VMware’s vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V0 on a set of enterprise-level IT systems.
10 years’ experience writing scripts with a scripting language.
Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes.
Experienced in Oracle, AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments.
Ability to utilize discretion and independent judgment to switch between priorities quickly without affecting quality or performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with project management and/or practicing Agile - Scrum.
Advance-level knowledge of infrastructure technologies to include, but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco ACI, firewalls, routing and switching, network security, data storage (block, file, etc.), backup infrastructure, VDI, datacenter management, virtual infrastructure (VMware) and Oracle Exadata/Exalytics.
Must possess the ability and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends.

Experience developing technical presentations which include architectural diagrams and graphics.
Experience writing and presenting business case and white papers, including experience developing Basis of Estimates and budgetary estimates.
