GDIT is looking for a Procurement Analyst to join the milCloud® 2.0 program and work from either our Raleigh-Durham, NC or Chantilly, VA office.

NOTE: Working Hours must be within M-F 7:00am - 5:00pm EST.

milCloud® 2.0 is a Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) led program that connects commercial cloud service offerings to Department of Defense (DoD) networks in a private deployment model. This provides DoD mission partners the latest scalable cloud technology and operates at Impact Level 5 and 6 of the Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide. milCloud® 2.0 works to improve availability and performance of datacenter services and reduces the DoD’s total cost of ownership for delivering infrastructure services.

This position will fall under the milCloud® 2.0 program and the Business Operations Manager will direct daily tasking. Responsibilities include performs supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. The analyst will also be responsible for creating RMAs for damaged equipment received. You will join a highly collaborative team focused on delivering high value to its customers. You will work in close cooperation with other managers and product owners on project teams, as well as work independently on smaller efforts with limited direct supervision. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to perform work under continuous deadline pressure

  • Maintain and enhance logistics processes for shipping, including generating labels, setting up pickups, filing damage claims, and processing invoices

  • Collaborate effectively with site POCs and internal teams

  • Responsible for Procurement of hardware and software orders

  • Prepare bid packages: compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential vendors

  • Audit quote packages

  • Provide customer service support via email and phone

  • Update the vendors contact list as needed

  • Attend project related meetings

  • Resolve equipment issues for shipping discrepancies or delayed shipments

  • Track delivery order dates

  • Track and initiate purchases as needed for equipment and software support, maintenance, and license renewals

  • Process RMA returns and repairs across multiple vendors

  • Receive incoming purchases and maintain Asset Records regarding project deployment and locations, across multiple software platforms

  • Maintain purchase records, generate monthly metric and spending reports, and provide purchase forecasts

  • Track and report the monthly usage of a variety of network resources for invoicing and for growth projections

  • Validate invoice payments

  • Monitor and update subcontractor and subscription funding monthly or as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Interim Secret security clearance or Active Secret security clearance

  • BA/BS Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience

  • Junior-level knowledge and experience in procurement practices and principles such as soliciting, evaluating, preparing contracts for award; administering contracts; and analyzing and evaluating cost and price proposals. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.

  • Highly analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation (verbal/written) skills; Comfortable in presenting information and raising issues as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance
