Interoperability Analyst provides support to the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Division (SMWDC IAMD) by providing subject matter expert (SME) advice and assistance in the areas of Advanced tactical Training (ATT) Operational Suppport Tactical and Operational-level doctrine review and writing, Capability Analysis, Assessments and Experimentation.

Ideal candidate will support SMWDC-IAMD mission in following capacity:

Senior Warfare Analyst, C5I

• Required ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; Desired ability to obtain TS clearance at start (investigation basis must be valid for 6 months after start date) and be eligible for SCI

• Required twenty (20) years (minimum) of military or relevant industry or government experience

• Required five (5) years (minimum) of experience aboard Navy surface platforms (Cruisers, destroyers, carriers or amphibious)

• Required five (5) years (minimum) of experience in C5I systems applicable to Combat Systems, Tactical Data Links, Computer Networks, and associated satellite communications equipment

• Desired three (3) years (minimum) of experience (concurrent or sequential to 20 years military experience) teaching and/or instructing in a formal classroom setting.

• Desired familiarity with operational and tactical doctrine, concept of operations, standard operating procedures, and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP)

Senior Subject Matter Expert

• Required ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; Desired ability to obtain TS clearance at start (investigation basis must be valid for 6 months after start date) and be eligible for SCI

• Required twenty (20) years (minimum) of military or relevant industry or government experience in C5I systems applicable to Combat Systems, Tactical Data Links, Computer Networks, and associated satellite communications equipment

Overall Job Requirements

  • Required experience in the design, engineering and/or operation of C5I systems applicable to Combat Systems, Tactical Data Links, and/or Computer Networks
  • Required familiarity with test design and procedures in a combat systems laboratory environment utilizing simulation and/or stimulation capabilities
  • Required familiarity with the development of Measures of Effectiveness and Measures of Performance (MOE/MOP)
  • Desired experience in the development and writing of tactical guidance documents such as OPTASKS, Fleet Advisory Messages, TACMEMOs, and/or Navy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
