At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Data Flow Engineer supporting one of the most technical DoD Agency’s, you will be trusted to work on National Level Technology. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Participate as a data flow representative in research activities and analysis of alternative for the introduction of new technologies into the enterprise
  • Participate as a data flow representative in requirements engineering, designing, and the roll-out of Data Flow Systems
  • Trace the flow of data, determine where data has stopped, determine what caused the error, fix the problem or task the appropriate labor category to fix the problem, and restore the data flow
  • Write after action report for data flow issues
  • Document the data flow
  • Determine the optimum path for the data to flow using the technologies and services available to meet the requirement


  • Fourteen (14) years of overall relevant experience in projects of similar scope, type, and complexity. Two (2) years of experience with developing, testing, and integrating Data Flows and Data Flow Systems. One (1) year of experience using corporate Data Flow tools such as NIAGARAFILES, and designing Data Flow systems. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for four (4) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years of experience. A master’s degree may be substituted for six (6) years of experience, reducing the requirement to eight (8) years of experience. A doctor’s degree may be substituted for eight (8) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience
  • IAM Level I Certification, IA Baseline Certification
  • Security clearance level(An Active TS/SCI and Polygraph )
