GDIT is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in support of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Financial Resources (OFR) to implement an Acquisition Management System (AMS). GDIT will acquire, configure, implement, and provide go-live support, providing a low-code commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.
To implement the AMS, the overall team will be engaged in all aspects of the deployment from requirements gathering, architectural design, software configuration and development, testing, implementation and deployment support, change management, training, data migration, data management, and post go-live support.
This position is for full time employment with GDIT. Business hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. All work is remote with travel as requested to Atlanta, GA locations at both GDIT (2 Corporate Blvd., Suite 100 Atlanta, GA 30329) and CDC (2939 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
Represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments.
Coordinate with business and technology teams ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of users acceptance and may coordinate testing, and system techniques and controls.
Utilize knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow.
Serve as Proxy product owner for multiple applications that are in support, enhancement and new development stages.
Create Epics/Stories/Tasks/User Stories in JIRA including documentation of acceptance criteria.
Draft system process flows
Facilitate/coordinate requirement gathering sessions with partners, O&M, Client Stakeholders - Prepare high-level requirements for the extended team
Create and track QA reports; Review and ensure that the verification and validation was in accordance to the system, functional, and product requirements and ensure the requirements traceability matrix is updated
Work with Client to prepare system documentation needed for the project
Conduct/Facilitate team cross training sessions
BA/BS and 8+ years business analyst experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Ability to obtain public trust clearance
