Seeking a solutions architect with a thorough understanding of modeling and simulation that designs digital applications and analytic frameworks for live, virtual training solutions for the Maritime Domain.  The work includes identifying and integrated state-of-the-art technologies including federated application program interfaces (APIs), immersive technologies, including gaming engines to modernize GDIT’s VirtualShip system.  As the solutions architect, you will develop and implement solutions to provide realistic training environments and enabling multiple trainers to perform as an integrated system to train multiple teams.  The work will also include the design of analytic evaluation frameworks and prototyping of future simulation concepts to support commercial and federal live virtual constructive (LVC) solutions. Specific tasks:

  • Applying modeling and simulation across the system life cycle
  • Develop analytic frameworks
  • Develop, integrate, test and maintain various systems/platforms in a virtual environment
  • Prototype and implement architected solutions

  Required Qualifications

  • BS in Systems/Software Engineering, Modeling & Simulations or  equivalent technical field of study
  • 10+ Years of Experience developing solutions that integrate software, hardware, firmware, or systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Simulation Training Systems, Maritime Domain preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Desired Skill Certifications/Experience

  • SOA Architect Certification
  • Complex languages (ForTran, C++, Java, Python, C#, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Gaming engines (Unreal Engine and Unity)
  • Modeling and Simulation or creating synthetic environments to support training
  • Integrating Hardware or creating virtual solutions
  • Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Cybersecurity
  • Augmented/Virtual Reality software & hardware integration
