The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting a new Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. The Sr. Network Engineer will provide high-level technical support, create and maintain network documentation and work projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.
Responsible for the testing and implementation of new SASE solution for augmenting and replacing a large legacy telework VPN implementation
Assist the customer with moving into the future with remote access solutions as they migrate applications to the cloud
Assist with Zero Trust architecture especially as relating to SASE
Responsible for documenting, installation, testing, and deployment of both test and production environments of SASE solution
Perform continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for remote access solutions
Perform maintenance as needed
Support Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of systems and respond and resolve to POA&Ms as needed.
May provide guidance to less-experienced engineers.
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
Solid knowledge of and experience with deploying a SASE solution and understanding of the complexity of migrating a large customer base
Experience with customer migrations from on-premise to cloud systems for secure remote access
Solid understanding of network and security architectures
Experience with C&A and system remediation processes a plus
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users
Must possess excellent client management/resolution, problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills, with sound presentation skills
Excellent English verbal communications and written documentation skills are required
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
