GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Control Units (ECUs) Field Service Representative (FSR)/Mechanical FSR in Iraq. This position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance.
Environmental Control Units (ECUs) Field Service Representative (FSR)/Mechanical FSR. Capable of performing analyses of system operations. Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components. Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components. Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; and use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools. Capable of providing communication engineering, technical, and logistical support to the Government. Provide engineering support to design and update, as needed, satellite communications plans and network architecture. Technical support to develop and maintain communications sustainment plans and directly assist with or complete troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of communication networks. Technical support to directly assist via a web and satellite phone-based help desk. Once the systems are installed, the contractor shall continue to provide support for maintenance and upgrades as required. Provide continuing technical advice and assistance, maintenance, and repair support to the Government. Capable of executing all required firmware and software upgrades and shall establish and execute a return materiel authorization (RMA) program. Needs to possess power grounding, computer, and installation experience. If required, then will perform system repairs in order to return each to the Full Operational Capability (FOC) or the U.S. Army’s 10/20 standard and in accordance with the applicable technical manuals (TMs). Provide maintenance support shall primarily be at the Sustainment level, less depot level (as defined by AR 750-1) in the area of electronics, and to a lesser extent mechanical support, including generator and environmental control unit repair and overhaul. Can perform the necessary maintenance to keep machines (generators, ECUs, etc.), or other mechanical equipment in operational readiness condition. Primarily supports hardware family - Environmental Control Units (ECUs): Environmental Control Units (ECUs), All Sizes; Apache (AH-64D) Environmental Control System (ECS) Carts; Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter (DRASH). Specializes in supporting Environmental Control Units (ECUs), All Sizes.
