HOW BEING A CYBER SECURITY PROJECT ENGINEER CAN MAKE AN IMPACT?

The Sponsor delivers global communication and services, and supports reliable and responsive IT infrastructure services across departments. The Sponsor requires support specializing in firewall engineering and software development. The work will require organization between multiple stakeholders and multiple customer systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Required Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in firewall deployment, and operations and maintenance of firewall hardware.
• Demonstrated experience with multicast traffic across the firewall. 
• Demonstrated experience deploying Cisco, Palo Alto and Juniper firewall Manager servers.
• Demonstrated experience with designing, building, and managing controlled interfaces.
• Demonstrated experience installing hardware, configuring firewalls, setting up virtual private networks, and implementing updates.
• Demonstrated experience with working with developers or engineers to determine best technical approach to requirements.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring security devices and applications for performance problems and providing technical resolutions.
• Demonstrated experience migrating from antiquated technology to new firewall technology.
• Demonstrated experience with Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto devices.
• Demonstrated experience with load balancers and network security appliances.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux.
• Demonstrated experience with Information Assurance hardening and compliance policies.
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with implementing zero-trust networks.
• Demonstrated experience with firewall vendor transitioning to include design, engineering and deployment of new firewalls.
• Demonstrated experience with completing assessment and authorization (A&A) through Sponsor’s accreditation process.
