GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Database Analyst Advisor to join our Army Installation Support Modules (ISM) Project. The ideal candidate will be familiar with PL/SQL development and coding. Should be experienced in working with Oracle databases in a Unix/Solaris environment. Should have excellent communication and analytic skills.
Analyzes customer requirements and develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases
Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management
Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation
Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation
May provide technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced database personnel
May serve as a team or task leader
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
8+ years of IT experience
Active Secret Clearance
DoD 8570.01-M, IAT Level II compliance
2+ years of Unix Shell/scripting in Solaris Environment
2+ years of Oracle database in Solaris Environment
2+ years PL/SQL programming/scripting (package/procedure writing & modifying)
Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Queuing
The likely salary range for this position is $88,000 - $132,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
