This role is a fully remote role!

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Accounting Manager supporting BCRC, you will be trusted to organize and manage. In this role, typical activities will include:

  • Manage assigned subordinate staff (financial analysts) total of 10
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned units. 
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, federal regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include: assisting with interviewing and hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Preparation of financial reports and their supporting documentation to CMS. Including all CFO quarterly reports, savings reports, write-off recommendations, CNC recommendations and variance analysis
  • Support the contracts Statement of Work (SOW) requirements to: maintain transaction-level documentation that supports all Medicare Trust Fund activity under the control of the BCRC, performs analysis of and reports on Accounts Receivable trends, confirms validity, accuracy, and completeness of all financial data, as well as other performance requirements/responsibilities as defined by the BCRC SOW
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments received from the BCRC Chief Financial Officer
  • Responsible for the preparation of supporting financial data include returned checks, refunds, banking activities and all financial reporting to the customer
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of the department, including compiling, storing, and retrieving data for reports
  • Determine responsibilities of staff positions to accomplish business objectives. 
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Monitor departmental workloads for refunds, Treasury collections and return to agency debts
  • Responsible for the monitoring and tracking subordinates production and quality and addressing performance issues.
  • Responsible for adherence to qualitative and quantitative standards as established to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements
  • Works in a team environment and is expected to assist other team members as needed.  Train co-workers on work processes as requested by management


  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a required
  • Practical experience in accounting management practices with 2+ years in a management role
  • Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and co-workers


  • Financial and/or accounting experience in Medicare or other large health-related government contracts
  • Microsoft Access experience preferred
