GDIT has an opportunity for a growth-oriented and execution-focused Senior Program Director to join our team leading the Law Enforcement Business Area featuring DOJ, FBI, DEA, Marshals service, ATF and related agencies within the Federal Civilian Division.  The Law Enforcement Business Area supports a variety of Federal Agencies’ IT programs focused on delivering full-service enterprise infrastructure, digital modernization, shared services, cloud enablement, applications development, and management consulting. The Law Enforcement Business Area Sr Director will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility to win new business and to deliver existing work.  The position will oversee a portfolio worth over $100M/year  and will report as one of the key operating business areas to the GDIT Sector Vice President and General Manager.

 

Success will be measured against specific revenue, operating income, and contracts award metrics consistent with a growing enterprise, as well as business relationships internally and externally, and leadership impact with our teams and our clients.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading the portfolio and setting the strategic and operating plan for the Law Enforcement Business Area
  • Performing financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Providing customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery
  • Driving growth – in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; delivering a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth
  • Ensuring alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives
  • Managing and optimizing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development
  • Developing a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team
  • Building and managing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development
  • Engaging the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients
  • Reinforcing the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy

 

Required Qualifications to be considered:

  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (or currently Active)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, engineering, or related discipline, plus 10+ years of Enterprise Program Management experience and interfacing and presenting to C-level executives
  • 10+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT and/or professional services program portfolio, within the Federal Law Enforcement Agencies  (example, DOJ, FBI, DEA, Marshals service, or ATF)
  • Established hands-on experience managing programs of significance – both execution and financial focus.
  • Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships within the Federal law enforcement community
  • Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution
  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of proposal development and evaluation process, either from a contractor or government view point, that can translate into developing winning strategies and proposals for new business
  • Demonstrated experience developing, leading business and technical briefings for senior and executive management that communicate clearly objectives, approaches and value.
  • Ability and flexibility for travel local and within the U.S.
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written.  Demonstrated experience liaising with senior Federal law enforcement customers
