At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an IMPC Technician, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • Fleet Manager responsibilities which include inventory management, asset tracking, and concurring on the procurement or leasing of vehicles worldwide
  • With authorize/confirm on Sponsor’s behalf which vehicles GSA will order
  • Publishes Sponsor policy and guidance regarding the management of motor vehicles
  • Prepares consolidated vehicle reports on behalf of the Sponsor to comply with Federal, State and Local law
  • Monitors the Sponsor Procurement System Fleet Management Tool and vehicle programs within the Sponsor
  • Promotes the reutilization of excess within the Sponsor
  • Serves as a contributor to the educational program for those who operate and manage Sponsor
  • Analysis required, but very process-oriented work (may become monotonous for processor)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
  • Very transactional work and having the ability to research is important.  Communication, whether written or verbal is key
  • Core office hours are 0900-1700
  • The IMPC will assist the office in maintaining Auditability of Accountable Property, will help develop metrics, maintain compliance reports, sending notifications, develop/maintain/update SOPs. In support of Fleet Manager, will maintain records on GSA leased vehicles to include replacement ordering, GSA tag issuance, mileage reporting and will submit mileage reports to GSA for monthly billing. Will also maintain accident reporting and responding to submissions
  • Could be tasked to help on other portfolios in compliance reporting and assisting with process improvement teams. May be asked to visit GSA representative and could be tasked with moving vehicles between two locations
  • The ability to use good judgment and personal initiative in recognizing appropriate action to be taken for completion of tasks is a must


  • HS Diploma
  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Prefer previous Sponsor experience in managing Sponsor Accountable property. The ability to use the Sponsor Logistics Application.
  • Ability to use MS products including Outlook, Sponsor Financial System, Sponsor Logistics Tracking System, Sponsor Access Request System, Sponsor Asset Management Authorities system, and COGNOS
