Job Description

GDIT is seeking a qualified Project Manager for our Atlanta, GA location. We are looking for a team player to serve as Agile Scrum subject matter expert (SME) with a blend of technical and functional skills concerning Scrum infrastructure.  A Scrum SME is the Scrum Team member tasked with fostering an effective and productive working environment and guiding others to understand Scrum values, principles, and practices.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Scrum duties include managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies.
  • Provide on-site technical support solutions for customer service delivery and availability while ensuring satisfaction with Microsoft software.
  • Serving as SME for Agile Scrum implementation projects.
  • Shared Services subject matter expert, which may include providing some guidance on development projects and programs that are considering the development of Scrum.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Scrum Master certified

Experience

  • Typically requires at least ten years relevant experience without a Degree; 4+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree

Specific Skills

  • ​3+ years' experience as a Scrum Master deploying multiple instances, Resource mentoring and service health
  • 3+ years' experience implementing Scrum in a multi-tier infrastructure for a multi-tenant Deployment, including creating new tenants in a multi-tenant shared environment, troubleshoot system Jobs in Scrum.
  • 3+ years' experience administering Scrum to include the following: Clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, addressing Team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team, protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a scrum master role
  • Familiarity with software development
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • Scrum master certification is a plus
