As a Cyber Security Analyst supporting our government client In this role, a typical day will include:
Provides vulnerability assessment reports and recommendations to leadership and onsite engineering teams
Performs analysis of ACAS and SCAP scans along with STIG checklist to develop POAMs
Review engineering, architecture, and designs to ensure DoD security policies are met
Familiar and assist with ATC and ATOs utilizing RMF processes and EMASS
Performs cyber security assessment of systems prior to ATC and provides remediation recommendations
Assist Government with SCA-V assessments onsite
Maintains overall Cyber Security Readiness reports for all ongoing VMOD projects
Conducts software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated. Conducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems
Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development life cycle
Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, and administers the infrastructure hardware and software
Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design
Responsible for a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
Involved in the design and development of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration/testing issues
Ability to travel. Expected Travel 25%
Current Secret Clearance
BA/BS or equivalent + 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
DoD 8570 IAT Level III or higher certification required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced personnel
Strong Communications Skills
The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
