Coordinates across headquarters staff section, subordinate entities, military services, non-DoD federal departments and agencies, and DoD organizations to identify, analyze, and recommend initiatives and solutions for capability gaps or to capitalize on efficiencies. Maintains references, records documents, and conducts detailed research to provide information from a variety of sources to provide holistic acquisition support. Aids in responding and/or leads short-fused and occasionally Flag Officer level requests for information and/or justification for initiatives and performs capability assessments. Other responsibilities:   

  • Managing multiple priority tasks simultaneously under tight timelines in stressful situations
  • Communicating with functional area project officers / leads to meet customer requirements and to identify and solve problems
  • Working directly with the Government Counterparts and Section Leads
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and/or organizations
  • Managing internal and external tasks assigned by various entities and providing status updates to the customer
  • Working well with others from a diverse set of backgrounds and be a team leader or just as easily be a member of a team in support to the customer and the mission
  • Transforming and conveying complex problem sets into basic strategic language to enable effective communication across personnel with a wide variety of backgrounds

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Six+ years supporting SOF/Military
  • Experience with the DoD acquisition process
  • Experience writing and editing programmatic reference documents (ICDs/CDDs/CPDs/etc.)
  • Experience and understanding of logistics processes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; strong use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Skills in multitasking, organization, attention to detail, and time management are essential
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment for dynamic customers
  • Skilled in gathering, researching, analyzing, documenting, and articulating user requirements
  • Ability to effectively convey ideas, tasks, requirements, concerns, and capabilities to all levels of management and technical personnel in a clear and concise manner

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with the SOF acquisition process
  • Experience with Identity Management and related activities
  • Understanding of software development processes and software development life cycles
  • Experience supporting military personnel and units in OCONUS environments
  • Experience in Signature Reduction/Risk Mitigation
  • Understanding and experience in financial management/budgets

Security Requirements

  • Required to possess a Top Secret / SCI security clearance

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
