At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a System Security Officer supporting the security needs for the CDC, you will be trusted to oversee compliance with the CDC information security requirements. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation and oversight of all information security requirements
  • Exercising and auditing security controls on a three year cycle
  • Obtaining an ATO for the system in the first 6 months of the program
  • Implement the CDC designed security environment for private cloud services
  • Ensure all security patches have been applied to the environment and databases
  • Maintain compliance with defined CDC database Security Standards
  • Audit and review user activity reports and report violations to CDC security
  • Perform system vulnerability administration
  • Report any security incidents, intrusions or breaches to CDC Security


  • BA/BS plus 5 years of successful experience with systems configuration and security management
  • CISSP Certification
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and providers including AWS and Azure
  • MS Office suite of products
  • Servicenow
