US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. As a Cyber System Engineer supporting USBICES you will be responsible for Testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining and reviewing the infrastructure hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the computer network defense (CND) service provider network resources.
This position you will be working within our CND infrastructure environment providing but not limited to; Design and implementation of Security Ops within Service Now, SPLUNK, CFSC, and security related activities to secure and harden the CND systems.
Uses defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the network in order to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats.
Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewall Administration
Firewall design and implementation
Network Tap and Span Aggregation
Network Intrusion Detection Systems management and implementation
Splunk log analysis and queries.
Host Based Security System (HBSS) based Firewall administration, ENS Firewall.
Review and implement application specific hardening guides and or DISA STIGs on a as needed basis to best meet security needs.
Review and update Information System Security Plans (SSP), POAM, Scans, STIGs, SSAA, SRGs, etc.
Ensure all information systems adhere to IA policy, procedures and structure to develop, implement, and maintain a secure information system.
Analyzes customer needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
8+ years of related experience.
Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II and CSSP Infrastructure Support access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire.
Comprehensive knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques.
Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.
Requires understanding/experience with Service Now, SPLUNK, CFSC,HBSS, ACAS and Redhat.
Cisco Certified Network Professional with SSNGFW and/or SSFIPS
