As a Software Tester supporting the customer, you will be trusted to solve complex IT issues while delivering outstanding customer service.  GDIT is seeking highly cleared candidates with active TS SCI w/Poly to provide software development, engineering, database design and Software Testing in support of enterprise –wide systems and products for the Intelligence Community (IC).  Work with the latest commercial products such as AWS and ServiceNow in an agile environment on various applications designed and maintained for a broad range of IC customers.

In this role, typical tools/role will include:

  • CAT - Angular, Java, AWS, Databases design and querying (ex. SQL, Oracle), Web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with the program manager to translate technical specifications and develop testing approaches for improving usability, functionality and consistency with a focus on the end user experience.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining technical documents including user stories, test plans and test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience using automated testing tools.
  • Demonstrated experience as an applications tester.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing software and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience detecting, reporting, and explaining defects effectively using JIRA.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing applications such as:  Java-Script, JAVA.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing automated test scripts using Selenium.
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, with an ability to anticipate, effectively diagnose, isolate, and expediently resolve complex problems.
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to ServiceNow.

Other demonstrated experiences which are highly desired, though not required, include:

  • Experience applying software engineering techniques and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git or Subversion.
  • Experience with Web Technologies (.Net, HTML and XML, Angular, Bootstrap) and working in a SaaS environment.
  • Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO and other widespread enterprise technologies integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge testing applications for compliance to accessibility standards, including use of JAWS.
  • Experience with ITIL, minimum foundation level, ideally higher knowledge of other frameworks such as COBIT.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
