GDIT is seeking an Integrated Monitoring Engineer for Science Logic on our PEO EIS Program.

Join an exciting and dynamic team delivering a large-scale Enterprise Common Tools cloud platform, automation & orchestration, and Cloud Application Migration effort for the Army. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with engineering, migration, and operations & sustainment of cloud migration efforts. Enterprise Common Tools and specific Army program customer migration efforts provide a range of day-to-day challenges, while the bigger picture architecture and migration efforts provide tangible milestones that the team pursues together following AGILE practices, to deliver the overall program effort. We’re looking for self-starter senior Linux system administrators, to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity and communications. We’re looking to fill this role/team with those who currently have the cloud experience, certifications, and skills to execute in large enterprise environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise. Job Description:

The Integrated Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for engineering, implementing, and sustaining integrated systems for the monitoring of Hybrid Cloud based systems to enable proactive response and mitigation of operational and functional issues within customer environments.  As a part of this tasking, the Engineer will be responsible for maintaining technical and compliance documentation to include SOPs and Work Instructions to support the usage of the Integrated Monitoring solution by end users and other technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Performs complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end.
  • Oversight of complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup and redundancy problems.
  • Prepares and maintains a range of documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
  • Develops and implements tools integrations using a Modular Open Standards-based Approach (MOSA).
  • Will engineer and provision ScienceLogic capabilities to support the monitoring needs of Mission Owners
  • Will work within an Agile framework to deliver capabilities to the customer regularly with the ScienceLogic tools team
  • May provide guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers.
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
  • ScienceLogic Certification or Relevant Experience
  • 8570 Compliant Certification
  • Secret Clearance with SSBI or Equivalent

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Executing Service within an ITIL Framework
  • Understanding of ITSM Terms and Systems
  • Experience using ServiceNow

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Florida, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.

The likely salary range for this position is $86,400 - $129,600, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
