Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, the candidate will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. Youll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create effective solutions, providing support to organizational Development & Engineering projects to deliver next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities, culminating in the delivery of unparalleled services that enhance customer mission effectiveness.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure solutions and activities delivered are aligned with the strategy and vision of the customer
  • Collaborate with fellow teammates on complex problems and recommend improvements
  • Assist in the deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects
  • Commit to staying abreast of emerging technologies and evolving customer goals and objectives
  • Engage with stakeholders and supporting teams, ensuring customer expectations, satisfaction, risks and cost is managed appropriately as it relates to your activities
  • Advocate for and articulate Development, Integration, Testing and product sustainment activities, contributing to processes and outcomes that enhance productivity, reduce cost while providing for evolutionary change to legacy service delivery models with sole purpose of increasing warfighter service availability, resilience, effectiveness and readiness
  • Adhere to standards, policies, protocols, procedures and best practices that truly embody a “Best of Breed” Development & Engineering services delivery
  • Participate in architectural and design discussions as they pertain to Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects
  • Participating in strategic engagements and events, as required
  • Brief stakeholders on planned and active projects and activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated background knowledge or experience in one of the following functional areas:  IT Networks, IT Transport Systems (Radio Frequency, Satellite), Mobility Systems (Android, iOS devices) and Cloud Development
  • Knowledge of Development and Engineering processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive experience leading complex and innovative technology projects
  • Technical writing experience is a must
  • Keen understanding of Configuration Management requirements for Project Management artifacts
  • Proven experience decomposing project requirements into work breakdown structures with manageable work packages
  • Proven experience with MS Project developing project schedules, assigning resources and managing tasks in accordance with timelines
  • Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules for interdependent projects
  • Experience with SharePoint portals and associated workflow tools

Security Requirements

  • Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI)
  • Possible opportunity to start without the clearance on unclassified projects until clearance is adjudicated

Work Environment

  • Work environment is combined administrative office and remote dependent on schedule and task

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in an IT related Project Management role
  • 5+ years of combined DoD and/or Commercial industry project management experience
  • Must have and maintain a current Project Management Institute – Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) certification
  • ITIL Foundation certification a plus
  • DoD 8570 IA Workforce certification a plus
