General Dynamics Information Technology has an opportunity available for an experienced Training Manager to lead and manage learning and development activities and strategies in support of our General Services Administration (GSA) program. If offered this opportunity you will be primarily responsible for meeting with our client to identify new and/or additional training requirements. You will have the opportunity to hone and develop your leadership skills as you:
Manage training professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments
Act as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems
Develop and administer schedule and performance requirements
Identify training needs and priorities by working with business leaders and critical stakeholders
Assist with the development of team strategy and strategy execution
Assist with vendor relationships
Meet with key stakeholder to identify, implement, and evaluate training activities
Strategically analyze metrics to understand training impact and critically design evaluations programs that measure effectiveness of training program
Lead assessment activities, provide detailed analysis and diagnoses training inefficiencies along with synthesizing research findings, leading to the creation of solution-oriented measures that will improve training programs
Leads strategy and decision making processes addressing various complexities and challenges pertaining to the training platforms, processes and programs
What Were Looking For:
You MUST have:
Bachelors degree or equivalent; AND
5 or more years of related experience managing a team of 1 -5 direct reports AND/OR designing, developing and delivering training
Intermediate or above proficiency with training design software such as Camtasia and Captivate
Intermediate or above proficiency with MS Office Suite products
Even BETTER if you have:
An instructional design/delivery certification
The likely salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
