Must be able to analyze network performance, conduct statistical tests troubleshoot, and create solutions to network problems.
Analyses potential cyber threats to the infrastructure, able to support customer meetings to discuss vulnerabilities to the network.
Understanding of firewall, router, and switch design, configuration, and installation; able to create visual network diagrams.
Verify service by testing installed equipment; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
Analyzes network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements.
Builds system security assessments of network infrastructure and support systems
Manages accounts, privileges and system access
Manages system resource in the monitoring of performance, capacity, availability, serviceability and recoverability
Implement security procedures, resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems
Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity and efficiency, and maintain system configuration and documentation
BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
2+ years of experience with current network technology trends, security best practices and cyber security threats including all phases of network operations and analysis.
Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including Solarwinds, Splunk, or Microsoft SC (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, etc.)
Knowledge and familiarity with DISA STIGs
