GDIT has an opportunity for an ICAM Automation Engineer working with a large line of business within GDIT that is currently supporting the Defense Information Service Agency (DISA) in the DC Metro area. We are seeking energetic, talented individuals that have a desire to help transform customer requirements supporting the DISA Enterprise Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) contract.
ICAM Automations Engineers are responsible for identifying automation process candidates, delivering automated process solutions, and applying workflow management enhancements to existing processes. They work closely with other teams to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing process automation and improvements. This may include hardware, software, service, or business processes.
Activities include: • Identifying opportunities for automation across the program • Design and execute tests or exercises that assess for expected functionality • Identify issues and quality issues in development, service or business processes • Install applications and databases relevant to automation • Collaborate with other business units to understand and implement workflow improvements and automation solutions • Gather requirements from various customer stakeholders to develop the best automation solutions
The ideal candidate is an experienced automation engineer who enjoys optimizing and automating processes and building them from the ground up. The ability to work in a fast moving, challenging DoD environment is a must. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the rapid-fire data needs of multiple teams, systems and products sprinting in parallel. The program is quickly growing and evolving. As a result, other duties may be assigned. This position is 100% remote.
Active Secret Clearance at minimum. Interim Secret Clearances are not allowed.
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher in most cases May also require vendor certification at a later date as program evolves)
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Extensive experience as an automation engineer or comparable discipline in a government environment
Minimum of 5+ years of experience automating processes, to include designing, testing, and implementing processes where none exist, as well as improving existing processes and identifying automation process candidates
Experience with project management framework
Experience with agile, cloud and DevOps
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication and leadership skills
Self-starting and able to drive projects to completion in a fast-moving environment
Solid communications skills, both written and verbal
Able to create, discuss and explain technical documentation.
Actively manages project risks and issues to close technical gaps in the project.
Identity Management and Authentication/Authorization integration experience (e.g. Active Directory, SAML, LDAP, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, etc )
Programming and coding experience
Experience with DevSecOps concepts, tools and automation skills
Experience troubleshooting issues related to automation solutions development and operations
The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
