US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
Candidate will provide logistical support to the AFRICOM ISR team providing services to 150+ sites in over 20 countries throughout Africa and Europe. This position plays a key role toward the teams continued success in one of the most challenging and rewarding AORs.
Maintain databases for inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excess, moved, or in transit. Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
Generate documentation and completing required forms for shipping, to include ProForma, ITAR, other shipping documents, and hazardous material labels and documentation. Contact carriers for expedited shipments and rate quotes.
Shipping/receiving/coordination of Defense Courier Shipments & Diplomatic Pouch shipments. To include wrapping, forms creations, tracking, scheduling appoints, pickups and drop offs.
Will be required to work with commercial carriers, freight forwarders and military shipping channels to schedule and reconcile any issues that may arrive.
Assist COMSEC account custodian with inventory, shipping, and receiving
Track product flow from origin to final delivery.
Provide material handling coordination support to include shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property
Inspect inbound inventory for accuracy and completeness, defects or notable damage and log/report discrepancies
Maintain and enter logistics-related data into databases or information systems in accordance with program policies.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, bins, or containers according to predetermined sequence.
Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity. Monitor inventories of products or materials.
Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
Develop annual inventory plans
Develop CERP plans
Provide CERP and DMRO recommendations and analysis for EOL equipment
Review and reconcile vendor’s invoices ensuring to identify errors, irregularities, and make adjustments as needed.
Liaison with Other Government Agencies to facilitate the transfer and transport of assets, supplies, and equipment.
Perform all other duties as assigned*
5+ years of logistics experience required.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Additional specific certifications may be required
Comprehensive knowledge of Excel & Microsoft software products
Comprehensive knowledge of logistics database systems
Comprehensive knowledge of IT equipment (routers, switches, thin clients….etc.)
Experience processing DCS & Diplomatic Pouch shipments including knowledge of proper wrapping and forms creation
Ability to provide inventory analysis and recommendations
Ability to develop inventory, sample inventory, and CERP plans
Ability to multi-task supporting requests with varying timeline requirements
Able to work with minimal supervision
Experience entering and manipulating information in asset management systems
Experience with completing hand receipts
Able to lift 50 lbs or more
Experienced in utilizing a SAP or WMS program to manage daily warehouse operations
Familiar with COMSEC handling and storage principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
Proficient in shipping procedures/ operations with various carriers and freight forwarders
Hazardous Material and/or Hazardous Waste Handling certificate; strongly desired
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide
