General Dynamics IT has an immediate need for a Document Indexer to provide support on federal contract in Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong team that specializes in developing and implementing innovative strategies and solutions with a federal customer.
The candidate will review and provide QA analysis of each document using a database system, verifying pertinent metadata has been properly extracted, and encoded. Verifies that specific SOPs are applied to all documents, must be able to perform Index Data Quality Control, update metadata, including security of documents, or deletions as required. Track activity, create / modify reports, and distribute any required updates and or changes as required by established practices. Processes and fills requests, for both internal and external customers. Review and analysis documents received, including electronic media (CD’s) to extract pertinent information, encode the data, and enter into the E-Library database.
The candidate will be responsible for the integrity of certain database information, and the ability to perform quality control. Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary. Maintains files and other related records. Performs other administrative duties as needed, including monitor emails communications. Participates in special projects as required. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Employees will wear business casual attire Monday through Fridays. Business casual is a polo shirt, dress shirt and/or sweater, khakis or dress pants and business shoes. Employees supporting commission hearings or VIP staff shall wear traditional business attire. Traditional business attire includes suits or dress shirts and ties, and dress shoes for men; and business-oriented suits and dress shoes for women.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a minimum of 2+ years of college or specialized experience specific to requirements
Experience working with legal documents; preferable minimum of 1 year experience
3-5 years of related administrative experience
1-3 years Remedy
Type 45 wpm with 95% accuracy
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and ability to use MS Office and other software applications as well as related office equipment.
Ability to demonstrate the ability to use written and verbal communicate skills in an effective manner with various levels of management
