At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Dispatcher, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Supporting the office’s motor pool and chauffeur cadre
- Work with a high level of autonomy and will schedule a full range of driver and vehicle assignments
- Coordinate customer requests with appropriate driver requirements while working with 50+ driver team to successfully deploy drivers to meet customer demand
- Daily customer requests will include chauffeur, shuttle and charter buses, and other ground transportation needs
- Assisting customers with all motor pool requirements to include driver, shuttle, and mechanic services
- Dispatcher will be using various types of communication types
- Providing basic email functions through electronic replies
- Multi-tasking a variety of communication methods and will support office to answer all service types
- Work on a rotating shift schedule that is determined by sponsor
- Learn routes, schedules and how to exercise the best utilization of established services and drivers
- Will ensure that after hour business runs are fulfilled by utilizing the sign up sheet
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma
- 1 year of experience
- Able to obtain TS/SCI w/polygraph
- Work on a rotating shift: 0400-1230, 0730-1600, and 1030-1900 (occurs on a bi-weekly basis)
- Willingness to obtain CDL Class A license w/ a “P” endorsement
