Come Join Our Team! GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Analyst to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer located in Norfolk, VA. This is your opportunity to work with a technically advanced environments and users.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for all BMD related efforts between Dahlgren and the Atlantic Fleet.  Works extensively on Aegis Ashore, Global Force Management of Aegis ships, management of Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) inventory between Program Office (MDA AG), Fleet Schedules to maintain GFM allocations in each Combatant Commander's AOR.

  • Manages the SM-3 maintenance due dates, factory level loading, versus fleet schedules to maintain GFM allocations. Coordinates with PHD, Program Office, Naval Munition Commands, fleets and technical communities.

  • Manages the relationships between Surface Ship Modernization planning and future deployment requirements and proper SM-3 variants with PEO IWS 1.0, 3.0.

  •   Functions as principal BMD SME to USFF Flags and staff on key issues such as Advanced Capability Build (ACB) planning and AMOD execution (both HM&E and Combat Systems).  Provides SM-3 planning transportation logistics to support DT/OT for RDT&E flight tests, Formidable Shield and Pacific Dragon firing events assisting MDA DT and COTF to have properly configured SM-3 for each event.

  • Conducts strategy sessions with leadership at USFF to prepare them for BMD forums such as Vista Intercept table top Homeland Defense events.

  • Develops supporting plans for MTMD International forum and associated CONOPS. Works with fleet constituents in contributing to new baseline documents such as Element Capabilities Specification (ECS).

  • Developed prioritized fleet ICPL for the Warfare Improvement Program.

  • Reviews FOSB, FCRC topics providing  BMD advice to USFF leadership.

  • Coordinates Navy Ballistic Missile Defense activities with internal and external activities including MDA, OPNAV, USSTRATCOM , JFCC-IMD, NAVEUR/C6F, NAVCENT/C5F, INDOPACOM, PACFLT for war game and exercise support.

  • Familiarity in the implementation and application of HTML5, SCORM, and LMS


  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • 20+ years of experience
