  • Demonstrate application expertise in ServiceNow, Ansible, orchestration tools, container scanning/ signing
  • Experience with containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, Singularity)
  • Prefer demonstrated application software expertise with custom applications: CUAM, PIE, and Kerberos
  • Familiarity with DoD software engineering practices and standards
  • Fluency with DoD software security standards and compliance measures
  • Familiarity with static code analysis and validation tools, such as Fortify, PVS-Studio, reshift and Lint
  • Familiarity with dynamic code analysis tools, such as Nikto, Nessus, Arachni or Valgrind
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience leading software development teams in a mission-critical, DoD environment. 
  • Provides technical guidance
  • Leads development of architectural designs
  • Assist with designing and evaluating new features and capabilities
  • Eager to explore new technologies, and develop new skills to advance the organizational software development capabilities
  • Ensures an intentional design is implemented which supports development, delivery and deployment of capabilities into operations on multiple environments
  • Create and maintain the software development lifecycle artifacts, processes, and workflows, ensuring alignment with the HPCMP mission and technology priorities.
  • Develop and submit high level architectural artifacts, schedules, roadmaps, and deliverables for the technical staff and enterprise
  • Develop strategy of system and design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
  • Advise management on software development potential projects, including timeframes, level of effort, and development of alternative approaches.
  • Gather and assess feedback regarding production software
  • Establish requirements, design specifications, timelines, and integration path for project
  • Identify systems and/or applications that will improve center functions/processes
  • Integration of new technologies
  • Provide and exercise comparative selection criteria for new technology selection
  • Develop and implement integration plan for new technology software components
  • Develop and implement test plans
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of the new technology
  • Coordinate user alpha, beta testing and rollout for new software technology components


  • DoD Top Secret clearance

  • 10+ years of development experience in a HPC environment

  • 5+ years of experience managing, supporting and mentoring a cross functional teams

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline.  Advanced degree preferred
