GDIT has future opportunities (outlined below) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) located in Hyattsville, MD. These positions will be in direct support of the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) which is designed to collect data that can provide timely and reliable statistics on the provision of ambulatory medical care by office-based physicians and community health centers (referred to as federally qualified health centers, or FQHCs) throughout the United States. The goal of this project is to assist NCHS to modernize its data infrastructure to support electronic data collection via Electronic Health Records (EHR) for a group of FQHCs through their Healthcare Electronic Health Records (HEHR) system. An important part of EHR transmission via HEHR is the ability to accept data through several means which is typically via Direct Messaging or through CDC’s Secure Access Management Services (SAMS) portal. EHR data must also be delivered from acceptable sources to NCHS in finalized, integrated, and harmonized survey datasets. GDIT’s support will entail technical support for the collection and processing of EHR data for the NAMCS FQHCs, provide database support, provide project management support, and conduct recruitment and provide technical assistance/support to sampled NAMCS FQHCs.
