At GDIT, people are our differentiator. We are seeking a Software Management Specialist to support NASA's Enterprise License Management Team (ELMT) at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. As an Software Management Specialist, you will be providing subject matter expertise to the procurement team in acquiring Enterprise Software License Agreements.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Provide IT subject matter expertise to inherently governmental tasks in the building of agreements, re-competed agreements, mods, options, and renewals in support of Planning and Strategic Sourcing for Center customers per NID 7150.113 Software License Management.
Support with all audit activities across NASA that are within the scope of the NASA ELMT. For audits triggered by external commercial entities; provide technological assessment/analysis support when required and in support of the ITAM and TPOC roles as defined in NID 7150.113 Software License Management.
Provide IT subject matter expertise to ELMT staff including, Contracting Officer and the Service Owner; including interfacing with responsible NASA technical points of contact (POC)’s, vendors and/or publishers when ELMT Services have identified and reported issues and risks towards meeting critical path schedule for completion of technical packages required for contract award, option execution and/or annual renewals.
Provide IT technical overview of software commodity and collaborate with ELMT Strategist and Contracting Officer to define direction for strategy and license compliance posture.
Active participant in the Candidate assessment and selection process; including the development of acceptance criteria and criteria for prioritization.
Development, quality check and validation of ELMT reports prepared for NASA HQ and other Federal regulatory entities, such as the Quarterly and Annual Cost Avoidance and Spend reports.
Responsibilities also include the provisioning and managing software licenses.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology field is preferred.
4+ years of experience in professional procurement, purchasing, contracts, preferably in a government agency, which includes the drafting of complex contracts, including provisions, and solicitation documents.
Experience in software license management is highly desired.
