This position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance. This position requires individuals who are self-motivated, suitably experienced, qualified, and able to follow instructions clearly but also able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organization.
United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) requires embedded Cyber Security Engineer (CS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Support for USARPAC G6 Operations. Secret Clearance Required.
Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.
Provide Cyber Security Information Technology support on Cyber Security components and systems in the operational environments.
Provide on-site surveys, acceptance test, out-briefs and corresponding site-specific implementation and integration specified.
Review all requests to add systems to the network and advise government on all proposed new technologies to ensure certification and established standards are met.
Use Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) automated compliance, certification, and accreditation solution to evaluate, track and manage systems and products for compliance with established regulations, policies and guidelines.
Provide technical and non-technical professional expertise for information technology programs.
Provide technical support to conduct Assessments and Authorizations (A&A) using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other established regulations, policies and guidance.
Conduct reviews and provide recommendations for resolution of inconsistencies within existing DOD A&A policies and procedures.
Assess local enclave and host connections to the network and the implemented security posture for compliance to security requirements which includes conducting onsite inspections of local enclaves presenting increased risk to the network.
Perform compliance inspections to ensure the established accreditation baseline is maintained.
Perform validations to ensure that corrections to the security baseline are implemented and enhance the security posture.
Assists in managing daily operational Cyber Security engineering and Risk Management Framework (RMF) tasks in support of the system portfolios.
Provide daily operational implementation of Cyber Security requirements in support of design, testing, documentation, integration, administration, and management of Cyber Security mitigation measures.
Serves as a subject matter expert responsible for the successful implementation of various computer networks, systems, and telecommunications efforts.
Assists in planning and developing methods, procedures, policies, and techniques governing command wide decisions on computer networks and telecommunication systems.
Makes recommendations to resolve command-wide decisions involving difficult and controversial policy issues and unusual computer networks and communications systems requirements, which are not covered by established criteria.
Develop, Review and make update recommendations on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that address current processes and procedures that relate to Cyber Security, Computer Network Defense, Physical Security, Personnel Security, and INFOSEC.
Perform other task as required in support of the USARPAC Cyber Security efforts.

The contractor shall have the ability to speak and write, conveying complex ideas, with ease and concisely in support of briefings, writings, or oral presentations.
Contractor shall be able to take visionary goals and objects, with general directions, and develop technical concept plans and then implementation
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) If possible, other preferred certifications include: MCSE/MCDBA/CCNA/UNIX/LINUX
Must have a current and active Secret clearance
BS or equivalent + 2 yrs. related experience, or MS + 0 yrs. experience
