Our work depends on a Web Developer joining our team to support New York State Department of Heath Medicaid Management Information System activities at Riverview Center in Menands, NY.

As a Web Developer supporting the eMedNY Provider Enrollment Modernization team, you will be tasked with modernizing our Medicaid platforms by leveraging innovative technologies to build new applications. This small high performance organization will work collaboratively to design and develop brand new Medicaid applications to replace or augment legacy applications. Our solutions are based around user-centric design and a responsive first methodology, along with compliance to Section 508 for users with disabilities. Creative technologists looking to expand their skills and build new, innovative products would be a perfect addition to this growing team
In this role, a typical day will include:
User experience designs and prototyping
Working alongside a team to deliver complex applications
Ability to conceptualize ideas to achieve a modern user experience across an enterprise of web applications
Developing user interfaces with HTML and CSS3
Testing and documentation for application 508 compliance
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or a related discipline
2+ years of experience in the field with the passion to learn
Interest or background in application design and development
CSS - specifically Flexbox
Strong HTML skills
Experience designing and implementing for multiple form factors (PC/Tablet/Phone)
Strong ability to use design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience using a modern JS framework like Angular, React, or Vue
Willingness to work individually and in a team setting
Good organization and time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing assignments and task priorities
Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
