Develops; organizes; and conducts training on advanced warfare tactics and the associated EW systems including JTT, BEWT/II, SEWTT, and AN/SLQ-32 for Fleet sailors utilizing approved Navy combat tactics, techniques and procedures.
Must be capable of conducting conventional classroom podium teaching and supporting laboratory warfare training.
Coordinates the development and delivery of complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives. Establishes and reviews course content and objectives. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Maintains records of training activities; participant progress; and program effectiveness. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. Conducts; assesses; and reviews employee performance: generates and reviews annual employee appraisals. Assigns; reviews; and promulgates instructors Certification and Qualification plans based on dynamic analysis of gaps in capabilities in their Electronic Warfare capabilities. Reviews; Assigns; and Recommends approval of instructor qualification and certification plans per NAVEDTRA 135. Subject Matter Expert supports Course Reviews; Updates Curriculum; and changes IAW NAVEDTRA directives; providing feedback and tracking of items; conducts training analysis; and recommendation for course improvement. Shall support pilot course review and gap analysis and provide Warfare Area review and recommendations to revise and correct training gaps. Prepares; reviews; and develops Warfare Area lesson plans and Instructor Guides
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
Five (5) years of experience with the required system as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment. Of the five years, one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.
The ideal candidate will have:
Directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs of all variants of AN/SLQ-32 and JTT in support of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Mission.
Experience as a student during a CSCS delivered IAMD Advanced Warfare Training (AWT) on an AEGIS or SSDS platform as the EW Supervisor.
Experience as a member of a shipboard Combat Systems Training Team.
