We are looking for a Technology Shared Services (TSS) Senior Solutions Manager to be part of the Applications Homeroom team and support Software Developers/Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Testers engaged in developing and delivering application services and managed service products across several federal organizations. 

Job Description

As the Senior Solutions Manager you will collaborate with the broader TSS team to maintain stakeholder aligned joint product/service roadmaps, optimize talent utilization, and grow the business.  The successful candidate will be able to navigate ambiguous situations, have strong problem solving and communication skills.   The Sr Solutions Managers maintain strong relationships throughout General Dynamics and with the TSS Strategy, Business Operations, Platforms, Customer Engagement, and Cyber Homerooms to continually align TSS’s delivery strategy with customer demand. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build relationships with cross division GDIT team mates in order to deliver value add services and grow the Technology Shared Services business base.
  • Engage prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to solve problems/fulfill requirements
  • Develop unsolicited improvement recommendations and collateral responses to accounts management team and customers
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders and product owners to identify and ensure alignment of delivery/service capabilities with win themes and solutions.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 5 or more years of related experience leading software development/engineering teams
  • 2 or more years consulting/trusted advisor experience
  • Knowledge of one or more IT domains (in addition to Software Development) that may include IT infrastructure services, cloud, cyber security, networking and data management services
  • Experience with technical leadership and project management (risk and cost management)
  • Strong familiarity and experience with IT Service Management and Service Delivery (Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps) frameworks
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment 
  • Ability to effectively engage prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action 
  • Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narratives that best present GDIT's solutions
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the GDIT story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches
