Our work depends on an IT Project Manager II joining our team to support one of our federal customers in Rockville, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As an IT Project Manager, you will be trusted to monitor the performance of tasks and inform the Program Manager of problems and accomplishments. The successful candidate will serve as the authority for task areas and participate in solutions of systems problems and direct systems analysts, programmers, other technical personnel on assigned work, providing technical direction. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Directs systems security analysts, and other technical personnel on assigned work, providing technical direction.
  • Prime POC for all Customer interface and communication on Program. Responsible for overall Customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensures GDIT is meeting and exceeding Customer expectations.
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
  • Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelors degree plus five (5) years of demonstrated experience in the field of Information Technology in a federal FISMA/ NIST based environment managing task orders/ programs.
  • Ability to develop project documentation and plans in coordination with team lead and client management.
  • Security clearance: Public Trust
  • PMP Certification preferred, but not required
  • Identity Management and Authentication/Authorization integration experience (e.g. Active Directory, CA Site Minder, SailPoint IdentityIQ Lifecycle Manager (LCM), Radiant Logic, SAML, LDAP, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, etc.) a plus
  • Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+, etc.) a plus
