General Dynamics Information Technology – Federal Civilian Division is currently looking for a Help Desk Technician who will be responsible for the Tier I computer technical support for the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) at Ft. Detrick, MD (Frederick, Maryland).
Pursuant to a customer requirement, this position is contingent on providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination or submitting to regular COVID-19 testing at your own expense. Must be able to meet customer facility COVID requirements.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for providing Tier I computer technical support to user base through phone calls, and tickets.
Provide support to various software applications, and basic hardware support issues.
Answer the first call and provide basic support for customer issues.
Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Provide a high level of customer service when interacting with the user base.
Responsible for ticket escalation to Tier 2 support as required.
AA/AS or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
1-2 years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations supporting Windows OS operating system environments
Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Operating System and Office product suite
A+ Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
Technical knowledge of computing laptop hardware and technologies.
Ability to work independently in order to solve technical problems.
Active T3 (NACLC) is required
