Our work depends on attracting and developing aspiring new talent.  We need a junior scrum master with some hands-on experiences, including internship or school project experiences, to join our team in support of Government activities in Doral, Florida (Miami).

As a junior scrum master, you will work as part of a diverse team, coached by a seasoned scrum master, to help the team follow the Scrum process and to continuously refine the product backlog as part of delivering quality projects on time that meet customer needs.

In this role, a typical work schedule includes facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning and review, retrospectives, customer status meetings, backlog prioritization, and leading focused team learning sessions to expand program knowledge of scrum and agile framework methodologies. 

The role will include removing impediments to progress and coaching the team on how to solve their own problems, working with product owners on user stories and shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint.

Required Education and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.

Scrum master or product owner certification.

One year or more experience in agile scrum environments, including internship or school project experiences.

One year or more experience collaborating in a team environment.

Coaching, teaching, or otherwise demonstrating leadership skills.

Must be able to obtain DoD SECRET security clearance.

US Citizenship.

Desired Experiences and Skills:

Familiar with agile approaches of Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean.

Agile coaching certification (ICAgile ACC, CSC).

Project Management Institute CAPM or PMP certification.

Familiar with service desk approaches in an emerging agile environment.

Familiar with JIRA.

Familiar with Agile values, principles, processes, and methods such as iterative and incremental development, continuous integration, test-driven development (TDD), unit testing, code refactoring, pair programming, and Scrum ceremonies.
