HOW JOB TITLE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Applies technical expertise in the use of database systems to assist users and application developers.
Monitors database performance.
Identifies, recommends performance tuning improvements.
Assists with capacity forecasting.
Ensures access roles comply with security requirements.
Maintains back-ups and recovery capability meet defined Return to Service and Recovery Point Objective.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education:

Bachelor's degree or an applicable certificate of training.

● Required Experience:

This position requires six years’ experience, of increasing responsibilities in DBMS systems analysis and programming. At least four of the six years must be specialized experience including the administration of a large enterprise data warehouse, data lake, or business intelligence data mart.

● Required Technical Skills:

Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) RedShift relational database service deployment, operation, and maintenance.
Detailed understanding of disaster recovery and high availability configuration and operation
General knowledge of other AWS managed services for compute, storage, and networking.

● Security Clearance Level:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability.

● Required Skills and Abilities:

Prior experience supporting a large scale enterprise database system.
Clear written and verbal communication
Able to work independently or in collaboration with cross functional teams

● Preferred Skills:

Prior experience supporting the federal government as an employee or contractor

● Location:

Remote. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
