GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Senior System Analyst (SATCOM/Tactical Comm) Administrator to support USAREUR-AF in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The Systems Analyst is responsible for providing technical and operational support; as well as subject matter expertise for:
Frequency Division Multiple Accesses (FDMA)
Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)
Ultra High Frequency (UHF)
Tactical Satellite (TACSAT)
INMARSAT Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN)
Global Broadcast Satellite (GBS)
High-Performance Waveform (HPW); and other satellite communication (SATCOM) networks.
The Systems Analyst Candidate shall analyze:
Satellite Access Requests (SARs); Gateway Access Requests (GARs)
Satellite Access Authorizations (SAAs)
Gateway Access Authorizations (GAAs)
Telecommunication Service Requests (TSRs)
Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs)
Transmission Plans; and other documentation to determine SATCOM configuration requirements and alternatives and then report the results to the Government as required.
The Systems Analyst will also be required to utilize Government-provided tools and applications to develop network diagrams and cut sheets based on their analyses Candidates shall provide daily status reports on equipment; network availability; and network utilization using Government-provided tools and applications and shall enter outage and restoral information into the Government's trouble management system.
Additional Job Duties
Deploys, Manages, Configures, Troubleshoots CISCO routers and switches connected to the EUR NIPRNET, SIPRNET and MPE networks.
Deploys, Manages, Configures, Troubleshoots CISCO VOIP telephones, videophones and VTC equipment connected to the EUR NIPRNET, SIPRNET and MPE networks.
Monitors health of network and network devices by utilizing Solar Winds and Spectrum programs.
Provide SME support to the following Mission Command systems: JBC-P, JCR, FBCB2
Provide SME support to the following Mission Command Network systems: CSS-VSAT, TSIv2, CPCE, AFATADS, AMDWS, DCGS-A
Provide SME support to the following Combat Net Radio systems: SCINGARS ASIP (all vehicle configurations), AN/PRC-150 (LOS, BLOS and ALE), AN/PRC-148
Provide SME support to the following multi mission radio systems: AN/PSC-5, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-192
Initiates SAR (satellite access request) and GAR (gateway access request) for activation of COTS VSAT systems.
Manage SATCOM earth terminal equipment to include LNB, BUC, Power Amplifier and modem
Set-up VSAT system, acquire satellite and join network.
Qualifications
US SECRET clearance
5-7 years experience
Must be able to obtain German TESA
Must possess DoD 8570 certification (Security +)
Entire office suite with an emphasis on PPT and EXCEL
